KEY NOTES

  • Speed on speed – blink and you’ll miss her! Be sure not to miss this impeccable daughter of speedster Deep Field, out of a debut winning mare by the triple Group 1 winning sire Bernardini.

  • As well as blistering speed on her sire line, this filly has the dam line to match. Her dam Crystal River went fast and she went early – a debut winner over 1200 as a two year old! Her page littered with black type, she is a half-sister to none other than AMBER SKY – an international Group 1 winner at 1000 metres and earner of over $2 million!

  • This filly has already shown above average ability, breezing up and displaying the speed her pedigree intended for her. She’s a professional both on and off the track, passing every test with flying colours.

  • Due to her precocity she will be aimed at the early trials in September with the Premier 2YO Feature Races in mind including the Gimcrack Stakes, $2m Inglis Millenium & the $3.5m Golden Slipper.

  • She is a very strong filly with plenty of size which translates to a lovely stride & action.

  • This filly also has a great head on her shoulders - Always focused in her work and honest when asked to quicken in the straight. When yearlings gallop, some of them find it difficult because their bodies are not ready to handle the work yet. However as you will see in the video footage, this filly does everything with ease proven by the fact that her ears are pricked when galloping, a sign that she is enjoying the work and is handling it all very well.

  • She has superb conformation and is a pure athlete. She has a lovely swagger when she walks and you can really see the power she has through her shoulders & hindquarter.

  • Not only is this filly sharp, she has the scope and size to continue to grow, continuing to improve physically as a 3YO and beyond.

  • Extremely good depth of girth, this is believed to be important to house good sized lungs. The larger the lungs, the greater the oxygen intake enabling peak performance under racing conditions.

  • She has the pedigree to match as her pedigree page is saturated with blacktype horses.

Pedigree

Her Sire, Deep Field...

The fastest son of Northern Meteor, DEEP FIELD.
The fastest son of Northern Meteor, DEEP FIELD.

  • An absolute speed machine for the duration of his career, Deep Field broke the Canterbury track record for 1100 metres at only his third ever race start – talk about natural talent! This was after setting a new class record on debut over the same distance, where he romped in by a staggering 10 lengths.

  • Deep Field went on to win his first five races straight, simply destroying his opposition each time. Racking up a combined winning margin of an incredible 24 lengths, he wasn’t defeated until he reached Group 1 company, where he started a $2.15 favourite and unfortunately failed to handle the notoriously difficult Flemington straight.

  • His progeny has been keenly sought by buyers right around the world, with demand for a first season sire not seen like this in recent history. He topped the 1st Season Sire table at this year’s Magic Millions January sale in both aggregate sales and average of $219 231, selling for as high as $675 000.

Prizemoney opportunities like never before. . .

Please note that this outstanding filly is eligible and suited to target the following races:

  1. $8,000,000 Inglis race series (already nominated)
  2. $3,500,000 Golden Slipper (already nominated)
  3. $2,000,000 Inglis Millennium (already nominated)
  4. $1,000,000 Golden Rose (already nominated)
  5. $1,000,000 Inglis Sprint (already nominated)

New South Wales has further cemented itself as the best place in Australia to race thoroughbreds, announcing another round of prizemoney increases effective from September 1st.

These increases amount to an annual increase of an amazing $24 million. New South Wales will now be paying $260 million annually in prizemoney and bonuses, which is the highest of any State in Australia. The majority of the increase in prizemoney will be on horses finishing fourth to tenth in races, bolstering returns to connections of the horses not finishing in the top three and making the thrill of racehorse ownership even more affordable.

There's never been a better time to get further involved! Prizemoney has increased in some areas by as much as 200% since June 2012 in some areas, with the minimum rise an astonishing 50%.

She is also BOBS (Breeder Owner Bonus Scheme), and BOBS EXTRA nominated which means he will be running for millions of dollars in extra bonuses over and above any prizemoney. For example (using some standard race figures):

Metro Race (Saturday) – Prizemoney = $100,000 plus BOBS up to $40,000. Total on offer = $140,000!

Metro Race (Midweek) – Prizemoney = $40,000 plus BOBS up to $20,000. Total on offer = $60,000!

Provincial Race – Prizemoney = $30,000 plus BOBS up to $10,000. Total on offer = $40,000!

Country Race – Prizemoney = $20,000 plus BOBS up to $10,000. Total on offer = $30,000!
